I use AI all the time for coding. I also just don't care anymore and I was tired of coding (or building products) before AI. I think I like having a functioning tool more than knowing what goes into these days.

I know that sounds like pessimism, but I'm really content right now with ai and coding.

I don't tell my friends I like using the Google photo remix because that's kind of shameful, but it's so gender affirming haha

How many people do think would move into the US within the next couple of years if the country opened its borders to everyone? I think it's somewhere between a hundred million and a billion people. There are billions of people on Earth for whom having a crappy job in the US is a dream scenario compare to their current circumstances. Many of them would move if they could. Hell, millions of people are already literally walking through Central America jungles and deserts to live in the US illegally - that shows you how attractive it is, even if at risk of being deported at any moment.

If they can travel that far with so few resources, surely they have some good ideas and can get things done - why do we want to discourage that? If people can come freely, they can leave freely too.

Yeah they're pretty sweet and a little scary.

I close them when they get to be too many, like 15 or so

I try to close things the moment I'm not using them or the open tab confuses me in some capacity

I'm my experience, yes. But on my team ai has helped the lowest performers. But it's allowed my best performers to build too much too fast.
