Stopping to listen to someone is not very egocentric. Without the headphones (in the scenario) she would have just ignored him or politely declined the flyer.

So either way, wrong word.

That’s why these comparisons are silly. Ok sure there is a cool Samsung phone. Are you going to switch ecosystems for it? Probably not.

Muse released their 4th platinum album before Twitter was even founded. They poured their life's work into Twitter? That is ridiculous.

Enforced by checkboxes on every login form, no doubt. Less sarcastically: I hope his corporate access is thoroughly controlled; we've seen him in 'full force', before.

Article says no change for .org, so this will surely be interesting for everyone.

> My wife just preordered an 18 pro.

I guess this is from a reseller, and not from Apple.

Private houses aren't killing tens of thousands a year.

Did wonder about the review, it probably sold well in the news papers and part of me thinks that the Odyssey team might even agree with her, but IMHO it's mostly overblown? The movie is good an wildly successful, and maybe I've gotten less jaded, but felt like her criticism did not land ( saying that as someone who loves to poke holes at things and reading a good polemic).

I could definitely imagine him loving the Air. But I don’t think he’d segment the market; he’d probably get rid of the normal iPhone

The form of the data pretty much forces this kind of analysis because fault is not reliably recorded (or even known, to be fair).

I'm sure somehow it's George W. Bush's fault.

I am not who you asked, but lately it has been really frustrating for me that macOS locks portions of the filesystem when the screen is locked, which breaks rsync backups because they cannot read those files. I have been unable to find a way around this.

That being said, the security design that creates this problem is quite impressive, and I think much more tight than most people realize is happening on stock macOS. I just wish that I could unlock my whole home directory from the CLI somehow when I do my non-time-machine backup.

That’s not correct.

Fault matters in general, but it's not captured in the stats so you can't make an accurate comparison.

Meanwhile, 2-3 weeks on my Pebble Time 2

my original instagram handle was magically overtaken and handed to a celebrity in like 2020. meta doesnt care, employees do it for favors

> Can't believe they flew all these people in to play them a video.

Apple can't afford to have demo problems or presentation glitches anymore. Hence the system that they have now.

This place has become Reddit with how easy it is to farm upvotes for any “evil corpos” take, no matter how clueless or inane.

Okay, so it’s functionally identical. Got it.

I feel like we never get real data on autonomous cars as we never do with data centers. It’s hard to tell if bad stories are anecdotal or rooted in truth. I hear the vast majority of accidents would be things that no human could avoid either - but then I’d also be anecdotal.

It seems like it would be really useful for a frequent traveler/commuter, to be able to watch something on a flight/bus ride. I would definitely consider it if I were in that demographic

Heard of POSSE? They could post on their websites and syndicate elsewhere. That way, I can access their content thru their website or RSS since I don’t have an Instagram.

LLMs are equalizing this. They use curl and Instagram has dark patterns to stop this. So if you ask a question in a specific niche, LLMs will prefer and refer to users who have their own website.

It’s the same reason popular YouTubers move to Patreon and Nebula once they get established. You never want to solely depend on a platform that can demonetize, or in this situation, take your handle.

Muse might’ve just sold it to them, TBH. I don’t see FB stripping them of it outright. This is not a small band afterall.

Again, you sound absolutely hysterical.

This isn’t on all the time. It’s on in 15 second increments and clearly chimes when enabled. This is literally just the equivalent of saying “one sec while I get a pen to write this down” and then taking a note.

If you ask it not to think about something that doesn't cause the pink elephant issue?

You put the trains where the people are, not in the middle of vast unpopulated stretches. Comparing land area is misleading and unhelpful.

Musk also stole @valentine from me:

I also believe that, but also can’t follow LLM copy.

Im not normally around people willing to do violence to get my phone,

CGNAT'ed IP address? I get occasional CloudFlare blocks at home from some hobby-related websites I visit maybe once a week, and I know that no one else in my house is doing anything to hit rate limits.

It's also because, until Apple's C-series models, they would've had to use Qualcomm modems which had a percentage-based royalty, and Apple would likely need a new contract for usage in Macs, so may had to pay even more. Even with their own modems they still have to pay Qualcomm's patent royalties, so it's likely just don't want to do that on devices which can cost over $10k today.
